Once you receive your APU device with 3CX pre-installed you’ll need to perfom a pre-configuration installation. This step by step article  will help you with the first configuration.

Software environment: 3CX V. 16 and later.

Hardware environment:
3CX APU2 2NIC
3CX APU2 3NIC
3CX APU4 4NIC

 

Instructions for 3CX Pre-Configuration installation on APU Entry Level:

1- Connect the Ethernet cable to the port closest to the serial port

2- Connect in serial to the COM port with 115200 speed using a terminal emulation software such as Putty.

3- Check that your network has a working DHCP server and check that the internet connection is active.

4- Turn on the device.

5- The login credentials are User: root Passowrd: 3cx

6-Run the following command:

 /usr/bin/3CXStartWizard.sh 

 Or

/usr/sbin/3CXWizard

 Or

3CXWizard

8- It will be asked if you want to proceed with the configuration from the web interface (1) or from the command line (2)

9- Choose option 1 and proceed with the configuration from the browser to the address displayed at the end of the serial configuration. The address is in the form: http: // <IP_OF_YOUR_DEVICE>: 5015

 

ATTENTION: if you want to repeat the procedure or if you have problems:

– Run the following command:

 /usr/bin/3CXStartWizard.sh –cleanup   

Or

/usr/sbin/3CXWizard –cleaunp

Or

3CXWizard –cleanup
